Welcome to the 1st Campain held by the Loaded Dice Gaming Club
Well this is it, our very first campaign. As it is the first I have kept it simple and only altered the planetary empires rules slightly. There will likely be some issues we encounter on the way, but we will solves these as we go. So bear with us and rember FUN not CHEESE people.
These are not the full campaign rules, I will be giving you a pack of those on Thursday. However what is here is what I would like done before Thursday.
1. General Information
The aim is to have an involving campaign which spans more than the standard missions in the 5th Edition rules. I intend to use some of the ones from the 4th Edition rules to “spice” things up a bit.
Your force represents an initial wave from your respective sides and not a full blown invasion.
Any ideas, now and as the campaign progresses, I welcome them.
2. Teams
Imperials & Chaos: John, Chris, Will and Hugh.
Xenos: Tom, Stephen Mk 1, Stephen Mk 2 and Dunc.
3. Story Line
• Players are encouraged to think up their own back stories. Within the following guidelines.
• Set on an elder maiden world. Hence their presence.
• Tau are scouting for a possible expansion. They have bought some “traitor” guard with them to help explain the benefits of the greater good to the population.
• Tyranids are being manipulated by the elder, ironically like the Zerg in Star Craft…
• Imperials have set up a hive to start colonising the planet from.
• I will keep track of the battles etc… and see if I can get some coherent story out of it, although I am not promising.
4. Campaign Set Up
To be done pre-campaign:-
• The Imperials need to choose a GM so that they may confer with me over the running of the campaign. This will help stop any potential bias, as if I would, you filthy Imperial scum…
• Each player has a “pool” of 2000 points which does not have to obey FOC rules. This pool may not be altered unless a campaign event says otherwise. Although it will be sensible to take at least the minimum HQ and 2 troops as these are the minimum requirements for the missions.
• The points pool must take into account different variations of the same unit. For example:-
Bob is playing Tau. He only has 3 XV8 crisis suits. He decides that he wants to take some deathrains so he points up the squad. He then thinks that the Brightrain pattern may be handy, so he adds that in. His list would read something like this:-
XV8 Squad: Twin Linked Missile Pod, Target Array x 3 = 160 Points
XV8 Squad: Burst Cannon, Missile Pod, Multitracker x 3 = 120 Points
Of course he could not field both patterns at once as he only has 3 models. However Harry has 6 crisis suits, and could therefore field both patterns.
The primary reason behind this is to stop people swapping weapons as they see fit. Your force represents an initial landing party of men and not a full blown army, therefore you will not have the full blown resources of your respective race. I would also like a copy of the points pool.
• Before each battle the players will create their lists from the 2000 point pool to obey the force organisation chart relevant for that mission.
So there you have it!
For thursday just bring 1500 of your respective armies and we will set the map up, which I asked Stephen Mk 1 and Hugh to sort and then work from there.

I don't quite get how the imperials and chaos are on the same team. They kissed and made up?
Anyway, it matters not to the hive mind. Gonna eat you little fishies. Oh wait tau are on my side. You 'umies then!
